Interlude Birmingham - 14.08.2015/15.08.2015
Yes, I stayed in Birmingham, but this city was not interessting enough to spend a whole day for it. I used different ways to go back to my hotel, so I could see, that it is really just a borring looking city for working (big buildings made of glas), shopping (lots of shopping centers) and making party (lots of clubs, bars etc). I also visited a church and I found a few small nice places.

I decide to travel to Stratford-upon-Avon. So I walk the long way to the trainstation and take the next train to Stratford.
Its all about Shakespeare there. It is a wonderful and nice city but full of old tourists. There is an old house where Shakespeare was born, but it is not the original house. The original hous was destroyed by the owner after Shakespeares death, because he felt disturbed by the tourists. What you can see now is the house what was build after that destraction.
A lot of souvenirshops everywhere.
But its nice to walk through the town. There is also a Citytour bus, but the town is not that big, so I found out the route of the bus and I am walking it along.
In the late Afternoon I take the train back to Birmingham and walk again the long way to the Hotel.

Day 8 - 14.08.2015
I also do the walking tour in the morning. I see few places what I have seen the evening before but with a different story. Also wonderful to walk into different colleges for "free" (its in the price of the walking tour). Bad thing, its rainig a lot.
For Harry Potter Fans - this is the tree, where Malfoy transformed into a white ferret.
After this tour I check out from the hotel an I take the next train to Birmingham. In Birmingham I am walking to the hotel and it is a big walk, I would say I walk an hour. Birmingham is an ugly city, the first dissapointment on my journey. But I also get really tired from all those walking, so I decide to buy some food and rest at the hotel.

Day 7 - 13.08.2015
Today I am travelling to Oxford through London. I arrive at Victoria station but the train to Oxford will start at Paddington station. I have already been in London and I really love this city, so I don´t want to take the subway so I decide to walk to the Paddington station with a stop at the Hard Rock Cafe. It is raining and I am really wet, but I still want to walk. I am sitting next to Jimi Hendrix Expierence golden record "Are you experienced".
When I leave the Hard Rock Cafe the rain stops and so it is a nicer walk to the Paddington station.
Oxford is a beautiful small town, I really like it. After Hastings and Brighton it is a really wonderful city. I start to walk and found a place, where the walking ghost tour will start in an hour. So I am going to a Tesco for buying drinks and food, walking fast to my hotel and then back to the ghost tour. It was funny and nice to see lots of wonderful places, especially with the stories. So I found The entrance to Moria, the small way to Narnia and King Aslan. The reason for that, C.S.Lewis and J.R.R.Tolkien lived in Oxford and few things inspired them for their books.
But the rest of Oxford is also great.
And here the place you should never touch or it brings bad luck.

Day 6 - 12.08.2015
I am walking in the morning through Hastings, just to take a look around, before I have to check out. The City ist not so nice as Canterbury, but it is ok. There are few nice places and shops. Also the beach is fine to walk around there but the pier was completely under construction.
I take the train to Brighton and there I have to wash my clothes so I go to a laundrette. The chinese lady was very nice and helpful, cause I have never been in a laundrette before. While I have to wait I decide to go for lunch and so I find a nice Imbiss and I eat my first portion of fish & chips in UK. Then I go back to the laundrette, pick up my clothes and walk to the hotel for checking in.
Brighton is a nice old fashoned town but not the beauty I thought. I walk through the city to those famous Royal Pavilion. It looks nice but I decided not to enter, a noble world is not my world. Instead of "losing" my time at the Pavilion I decide to go back to the beach and visiting the pier. I am wondering that people are swimming in the sea, because it is not that warm. I have never been on a pier and I really fall in love with this atmosphere. The small candy shops are shops with little things for children, the music and those small amusement park, its wonderful. For me it is a perfekt afternoon and I go back to the hotel, my feets are already hurting.
